Who We Are
Fondation Salem Ankol is a registered, non-governmental organisation which has been serving the community of underprivileged children, women and girl child in the Democratic Republic of Congo. We continues to give assistance to women and their children with counselling, job placements and school facilities.
Get Involved
Like the world-changers who support our organization, we are focused on making a long-term impact by helping kids living in poverty. We have a bold vision: graduating healthy, educated, empowered and employed young adults from our program.
The students supported by our programs face major barriers to accessing education; many are orphaned, living in extreme poverty or dealing with other difficult family circumstances.
Our Approach
We will share our model and practices through partnerships with the government and other organizations. We aim to leverage our demonstrated impact to advocate for reforms with other like-minded organizations that will lead to an excellent education for all children.

What We Do
What is Fondation Salem Ankol all about
Fondation Salem Ankol works with women and children living in poverty. Our dedicated local staff are helping empower, support end violence against women and children and changing lives, for good. We understand the deep-rooted problems facing women and girls and work alongside whole communities to find solutions. We make sure women, children and girls are safe from harm, able to earn a living and to claim their rights, and we prioritise their rights and leadership during times of crisis.
We are passionate about tackling gender inequality, and women, children and girls are at the heart of Fondation Salem Ankol’s work.
In the communities where we work, our dedicated local staff are supporting women, children and girls as they claim their rights, prevent and respond to violence, and help lead their communities out of poverty.
Women, children and girls are actively involved in the design of our programmes and take part in key decision-making. We support them to be leaders and agents of change; in their families, their communities and on the national and international stage.

What we are doing
We’ve been giving children a healthy start in life and the opportunity to learn. We do whatever it takes to save children, transforming their lives and the future we share. We are focused on return to Education; on helping more children in crisis recover and return to learning.
SErvice To Community
The volunteers’ work impacts all our lives
To be of benefit to all children who need the support of the greatest goal in my life.
Build the healthy environments
Working together, we invest in the lives of children and youth, build the healthy environments they need to thrive, and empower them to create lasting change in their own lives and communities.
We pay school fees and provide uniforms and other essentials to help orphans fulfill their academic potential and escape from a life in poverty. More than 80% of our former beneficiaries manage the transition to higher education.
